A trip to the land of temples:Deulghat,Puruliya:Jhalda

Deulghat is considered as a land of temples. The place is home to approximately 15 temples that are close to the Kansai river. This region is known for the architecture.and the intricacy in carvings and decorations in its temples.
Around 18km from Purulia town, on the banks of the Kangsabati river, stands Deulghata, a wonderful place to explore. The settlement owes its name to its deul-styled temples, inspired by Jainism that once had a firm foothold in the region.

The stucco decoration is the notable architecture made on the temple. The entrance of those temples is entangled with the branches of trees, casting an eerie. However these temples are the representations of the age, when they were built. Moreover the temples adorned with the graceful carve, attracts visitors, and hence are important in the tourism of Purulia.

In 1870, British engineer John Beglar conducted a survey of the archaeological ruins in the Manbhum area (out of which Purulia was carved out), during which he found several dilapidated Jain temples and artefacts at Deulghata.

Most of the temples were intricately crafted with bricks and baked soil. The expertise of the artists added a new dimension to the places of worship.
Brickwork with stucco is the USP of the temples, most of which are in ruins now. The stucco features scrolls with geese and foliage as the main motif. The works bear resemblances with temple art from the Pala-Sena period.

The temples are usually stone-made which indicates that the sculpture on the stones was the traditional culture of the contemporary people. Although the buildings of the temples of Pakbirra has ruined and nothing but the relics are left, it still continued to be an important tourist center. According to the surviving remnants, those temples are built following the Jaina tradition, once prevalent in Purulia.

The Deulghata temples were so captivating that in a report published in 1909 in theImperial Gazetteer of India, the art on them were compared with those on the famous Buddhist temple in Bodhgaya. This rich heritage is crumbling because of our neglect. Only three temples still stand in the quaint settlement.

There is no trace of many of the other temples that must have existed. The basements and roofless walls of some can still be seen.

Are You Loner or Lonely?

                             or loner?
Most of us have been raised in a crowded family, and are taught to cherish the community, but very often we do acquire
an impulse to break away. But this often makes those loving hearts ,that raised us with immence love and care, lonely. But what we confuse is a lonely with a loner.A loner is someone who is occupied to keep pace with the mission of rainfall. The -pitter patter pitter sometimes falling slowly sometimes embarace the window class like the decoits .A lonely person is not necessarily someone who is detouched from a family , she may have a decent family and average relationship still she craves for the company she thinks she deserve but life is depriving her.In the age of social networking, virtual friends, round the clock updating of your activities on Face book or Twitter, having a robust number of "Friends" on FB, why are we getting more and more lonely? Even, if you have your occasional friend's get-together, family dinners etc., don't you feel something amiss somewhere. Is it not the genuineness of relationships that we miss these days? The warmth of true and caring relations? What do you say?
Loneliness is increasingly being seen as a clinical condition, no longer as an indulgence. It has bad effect on a person's health and can be contagious too. Some people have a predisposition to feel lonely while there are some who are happy even when living alone. This demonstrates a quality of happiness and contentment or the lack of it which people are unable to comprehend. In modern times, people are lonelier than ever before despite having all the money and gadgets to pass their time.
Sometimes, it may help, when you strike the right chord by choosing an activity which fulfills your needs giving you the much needed mental peace. Sometimes, you may be lucky to find that reliable friend who pulls you out of your loneliness, so it depends on you how you think you can be helped. In sharp contrast, just a hundred years ago, when there were no means of entertainment (even radio or TV) people were more lively and social than us. Today there are hundreds of channels on cable TV and we surf them without any purpose while our parents were happier when there were just 1-2 channels to watch. All the money and gadgets have no doubt made life easier but they have not necessarily made us happier or more content. The problem with us is that we often conclude ourselves into the "Lonely " category. But we often deprive ourselves from the bliss of solitude .

Distance

 Distance

Clinging to the pain Without fear Never in regret
Merely to feel I have a soul.
I Merely felt i had a life ,I Merely felt loved
They say to let go To blanket my life
In forgiveness And take my next step
But i merely knew how a part of my was never
Lost in boldly walked away ,it eloped.
Sometimes I imagine the distance as time
time that engulfs all bridges, all ports,
the decks of ships and the lighthouses standing still optionless,
I visualize it as wild and rowdy as the water during a cyclone. I picturise its insatiable hunger, I watch it flare up The distance is a footpath of farewell, a highway of hopelessness standing clueless

HOPE-

Hopes are like  butterflies you keep them  free  they beautify  your world  you  trap them  to  confine the  beauty the collapse .Something  like  that  concludes on  in  caseo f  two  kind  of people  who canb e categorisedas   exceptions. The  painters who  trap  them  forever in  theirc anvas  and  those photographers  whose lenses  keep  them  alive  .The girl  i  knew is  none of  the above mentioned categories  still hope was her  playmate  .Unlike  anyother  21st century  kid she  was a non believing  creature  to  the  concepts like valentine but unconveyed blind believer of  true love .But hopes are  meant to be shattered .Infatuations came  to her life  some  even  claimed to have really loved but true love  was  what she thought she longed for and  the the key  ring  she bought  at the age of  16  was  never brought of  the packet. And kept in  the locker safe and cold.People  came  and drifted away  like waves of  ocean but the hope  that she will find her real loveso me day existed somehow  within  .She  finally made  her mind that she found the one she waited  for  so  long  and  the  4 year old yet  new  less costly  gift  was freed of the packet wrapper .But hopes are  meant  not to be shathered but  like  the names  written on sea shore  the waves of time materialism and  genuine yet  hard  facts  wash them  away  and  the  final fate of  the  much  cared  nurtured  orinary  key  ring was in  a  way  blown  .Gone with  the  wind  .The fragrance of the hope  still  enlightens  the  vaccant place in  the locker  but the place it was suppoce to  spread the  perfume is perhaps a giant leap  away  from the fools paradise

Lover's Paradise :City of Joy

Southern Avenue ,even if the goverment agreed to  offer me CM's chair for a day i would have renamed it to Nostalgia Lane.Rabindra Sarovar lake is what makes the place so special a place .The place  that thrills one to give life a rethink. The Plat is somewhat somehow how though not a healer but a companion to comfort. Its a gloomy place to hide when heart-break is a consuming mind and heart.Again those trees, their romantic smell and shady lanes gives you a feeling of longing, longing for something you never ever get to know

.It can be better named as Lover's Paradise. Its the lap of greeneries that gives the heavenly  feelings, where  else in the city  can a  place be found with its shady boulevards and niches where couples can cuddle up for hours.

Well the calms waves have witnessed many  uncoveys buds of lovestories to turn into flowers of beautifull fragrance ,many lovestories  to end because the cruel world is willing to set them appart. Most  ironically many  lovestories end  up because  this is  the place where  x's lady love rests her head on y's lovers shoulder..But  the calm water sees everything without uttering anything .The ajaan of dusk washes aways  the sins the cheatings the glooms of heart breaks, showering its  bliss upon  the call of  Real love meant to stay TOGETHER FOREVER .

Rabindra Sarobar Lake is a place for various types of people for various times of the day. While the morning sees majorly old people, the day is followed by school kids and by the time afternoon strikes, the extramaritals creep in. Evenings are for intense lovers and the late nights are prowled un-straights.And the City of Joy remains awake  to witness everything
